997 2005-2008 and 997.2 2009-2011 Two Workshop Repair Manual Set
Due
to the extremely high demand for Porsche 997 repair manuals, and
especially the later 997s, we are offering a bundled 2 workshop
repair manual set covering the original 997, for model years
2005-2008, and the second generation 997, often referred to as 997.2,
for model years 2009-2011. The older 997 manual is menu
driven,
with a table of contents, and the newer 997.2 manual is folder
based. These manuals are highly detailed, illustrated, and
professional. They also cover maintenance and repairs for the
997 Carrera 4 four wheel drive, GT3 and Turbo models. The manuals are
written in English and used by Porsche repair shop
technicians. The two workshop manuals cover general
maintenance unique to the 997 such as changing oil and filter, spark
plugs, drive belt, headlights/tail lights, air conditioning/heater,
glass, clutch, seal, and intermediate shaft bearing replacement,
turbo, suspension, drive train, transmission, complete overhauls,
mechanical repairs, interior, PSM, PASM, PCM, PDK, body repairs,
interior, electronics, computer, stereo, CD players, emission control
equipment, safety equipment, air bags, and general troubleshooting.
With this workshop manual, the commercially available and affordable
Durametric OBD2 diagnostic tool (US$300-$400), and with the usual
hand tools and equipment, a reasonably skilled person or a
professional technician can accomplish basic maintenance, repairs,
and virtually all mechanical and body work on these great
German-engineered rear engined cars, and owners can avoid expensive
labor at the dealer.
Note: We will eventually offer a menu driven manual for the 997.2, with more supplements for the later cars, but we haven't developed them yet. Following are the supplemental manuals for the older 997 models included on the CD, Much of that information applies to the 997.2 later cars.

These ten manuals, only available on CD, are the most comprehensive set of 997 & 997.2 information we've seen. The manuals, consisting of 695mb, about 10,000 pages, and about three feet thick printed out on paper, are in Adobe Acrobat format and shipped on one CD. For the best speed and convenience, the files can be copied to your system, flash drive, memory card, external hard drive, etc., or they will also run from the CD. Adobe Acrobat is a free utility which you can download here: http://get.adobe.com/reader , and it is platform independent, which means you can use the manual on virtually any desktop, laptop, or tablet, such as a Windows PC, a Mac, an iPad, or Android based tablet. The file is too large to send electronically by email. Individual pages of the manual can be searched and printed for a specific task, or the entire manual printed out if you really want a paper version. In any case, I think you'll find these manuals very complete, well done, and they will probably pay for themselves with your first project.
